Chemical Formula
                   The
symbolic representation of a chemical compound is called chemical formula.
There are three types of chemical formula
1:Molecular formula
2:Empirical formula
3:Structural formula
Molecular formula:
It is a shorthand notation for the molecules
of a substance in terms of symbols. It represent the actual numbers of atoms
present in one molecules of that substance.
For example:
Molecular formula of methane is CH4.

Molecular formula of benzene is C6H6. Etc.
Molecular mass:
Molecular mass of   a compound also represent  one molecule of a substance.
For example:
                        Molecular
formula of benzene is C6H6  and the
atomic mass of carbon is 12 and hydrogen is 1. So 6 x12 +6x1=78µ.
